"Super KITT" was built using a black Mustang GT with 4.6 Liter V8 that was upfitted with a Ford Racing Whipple Super-charger to make 500 horsepower. Additional performance elements include 6-piston Brembo Brakes, FRC500 Suspension Pak, High Flow Ford Racing X-Pipe and Ford Racing mufflers with stainless tips. The exterior sports a GT500KR fiberglass hood with a KITT heartbeat light, GT500 front and rear bumper covers, matte black LeMans stripes, matte finish rocker panels, GT500KR rear spoilers and 20" forged aluminum wheels.
"Attack Mode KITT" began as a black Mustang GT with 4.6 Liter V8, auto transmission, custom front valance/grille based on the GT500KR, carbon graphite chin spoiler, custom rear bumper cover, custom side faux air scoops, custom side skirt/rocker panel, two-tiered rear spoiler, custom rear window insert, custom turn signal trim, custom headlight trim brow and 20" forged black aluminum wheels. Performance features include Brembo Brakes, a FRC Suspension Pak and Ford Racing mufflers with stainless tips.
Speaking at the New York Auto Show, GM’s Vice Chairman Bob Lutz revealed that General Motors is considering a 4-cylinder engine for the new Chevrolet Camaro if fuel prices continue to hike. In particular, Lutz said that the drivetrain under consideration is the 260 Hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit from the Pontiac Solstice GXP.Now that made us think how V6 and V8-hungry American buyers would react to a 4-cylinder-powered muscle car, even if we’re talking about a modern, high-output, turbocharged unit. Our question is simple; would you prefer a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine over a naturally aspirated V6 unit with a similar output but with better fuel economy ratings and lower emissions on a Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro or Dodge Challenger? The Mustang Bullitt is making a comeback at this year’s Los Angeles International Auto Show on November 13. Ford hasn’t given out any details but we do know for sure that the 2008 Mustang Bullitt will get a “British-green” paintjob and retro styled rims along with special decals and logos in and out. This 2007 Ford Fusion is ready for the racetrack courtesy of Galpin Auto Sports. The turbocharged V-6 pump out 350 horsepower driving all four wheels. Gears are selected via a six-speed paddle-shift transmission. An APR Performance carbon front splitter and rear wing and 3D Carbon body kit provide the necessary aerodynamics while the MRT lightweight functional ram-air hood feeds the motor. A performance suspension keeps the 19-inch wheels and Nitto Invo tires glued to the road. The rear frame is 1 1/2 x 3 inch tubular steel built in a ladder style construction and in bolted and welded to the side rocker panels, and tied into the roll cage and is also connected to the front frame rails extension with frame connectors. I actually hauled 2 tons of scrap steel to the junk yard in the box of this vehicle so I know it is strong enough.

We wouldn’t exactly bet our paycheck on it –hence the question mark, but the guys at StangNet community support that these pictures shot by one of their trusted members is the 2008 Mustang Bullitt. The V8-powered Ford Mustang GT coupe or convertible are available for $115,000 (including GST), ready for registration in any State or Territory with a high-quality conversion to right-hand drive and full compliance to Australian Design Rules.
The ADR approval achieved by Performax International, an ISO-accredited company with almost 20 years' experience in vehicle conversions, also means enthusiasts soon will be able to buy the high performance Shelby GT500 and Saleen Mustangs.
The GT runs a 4.6-litre, overhead-cam alloy V8, producing 300 horsepower (224 kiIoWatts) and 320 foot-pounds (434 Newtonmetres) of torque, running through five-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
Acceleration from rest to 97 kmh (60 miles an hour) takes 4.9 seconds, according to factory figures. Standard features on the Australian-delivered Mustang GT include -

Just when you think you’ve seen them all… We don’t know why but at some point, one of the owner’s of this 1983 Ford Mustang Convertible thought it would be a great idea to cover up the Stang’s sober looks with a 90’s Mercedes-Benz SL-Class replica bodykit. He did however leave the Mustang’s original interior intact which probably sucks in the rare case that someone actually falls for the Mercedes-Benz star on the bonnet… Really now, what would you say if a friend of yours showed up on your doorsteps and picked you up in a car like this? -More images after the jump
