AC Schnitzer BMW 6-Series: New Sport Pack, Including Upgrade for Diesel Version

The introduction of the subtlety revised BMW 6-Series last summer prompted AC Schnitzer to update its sport package for the Bavarian Coupe. The German tuning firm’s bodykit for the 2008 6-Series includes a rear spoiler with an integrated brake light, new style side skirts, a revised version of AC’s “bunny-tooth” shaped lower air-intake (we don’t know why AC insists on using it) and a new rear skirt. The 6-Series Coupe’s looks are complemented by new 20-inch alloy rims and a new sports rear silencer with chromed tailpipes.

In terms of mechanical upgrades apart from the sport suspension and the high-performance brake system, AC Schnitzer has developed a sport kit for the first diesel version of the 6-Series, the 635d. With AC Schnitzer’s kit, the ACS6 3.5d’s 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged straight six develops 310 HP and 680 Nm or 501 lbs/ft of toque instead of 286 HP and 580 Nm.

As for the 650i, thanks to a series of upgrades, power is rises from 367 HP to a 411 HP. At the same time, driving performance improves with the ASC6’s top speed increased by 35 km/h or 21 MPH, to 285 km/h or 177 MPH. –More images after the jump
