Porsche Opens New Sales Headquarters In Moscow

Continuing its investments in Russia, Porsche opened up a brand-new flagship store in Moscow. The German carmaker spent around 17 million Euros ($ 23.5 million) on the 7,300-square-meter complex that includes the Russian sales company’s new headquarters, a service area with parts warehouse, and a 2,500-square-meter showroom. Porsche’s current Russian sales network consists of 16 stores but it will be extended to 24 over the next couple of years as the sports carmaker is practically on fire selling 1,900 vehicles during the 2006/2007 business year (July 31, 2007) - almost double its turnover in comparison with the previous year. -Continued after the jump

During the opening of the new Russian headquarters, Porsche's CEO, Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking presented a Cayenne S specially converted into a fire-service command vehicle to the Mayor of Moscow, Juri M. Luzhkov. “To ensure the success of a construction project on this scale, close cooperation with the authorities is a must. The Moscow city authorities proved excellent to work with throughout. We are delighted that the fire service commander of this great city can now rush to its citizens’ aid with an SUV from Porsche”, said Wiedeking.
