2009 BMW 7-Series Interior Scooped?

What seems to be a picture of a pre-production dashboard of the next-generation BMW 7-Series, has been scooped by the folks over at Autobild magazine. Leaving the finish and material quality aside, the 2009 7-Series’ dash looks more elegant and despite the hefty use of wooden inserts, sportier than the one fond in the current generation model.

Too bad BMW stubbornly insists on equipping its vehicles with the controversial iDrive control system. The new BMW 7-Series is expected to be introduced at this year's Paris Auto Show in September with sales following shortly after.

BMW 90’s 740i Replicates New 7-Series!

The things you can find on auction sites... Take this 1993 BMW 740i (E32) that’s for sale on a German site for example. The seller has attempted to create a replica -or rather a caricature, of the latest BMW 7-Series (codenamed E55). At least up front that is because if you follow the jump and check out the rest of the images, you’ll probably agree with us that the previous-generation Lexus IS must have played an important role in the styling (…) process. -Continued after the jump

2009 BMW 7-Series Scooped By Reader

There seems to be some sort of bonding between Carscoop readers and the BMW 7-Series as for the second time in a month, one of our readers managed to snap a prototype version forthcoming bimmer. Csarno, who sent us this image, said that his friends spotted the camouflaged BMW 7-Series during a recent trip in Europe. Even though the spy shot doesn’t reveal much of the new 7er it is apparent from the rear-quarter design that BMW will seriously tone down the styling of the car compared to the current model. According to Carscoop sources, the new Seven will go on sale in Europe in late 2008 with the U.S. following in early 2009.

Thanks for the image Csarno!

Asylum Seekers Catch A Ride In Tony Blair’s New BMW!

Talk about being a unlucky; four asylum seekers were arrested in London after entering the UK by hiding in the back of a lorry carrying former UK prime minister Tony Blair's new bullet-proof BMW 7-Series. The bimmer, that was ordered by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter-Terrorism Command was transferred from Munich, Germany. Upon its arrival in the UK, the four men leapt from the back of the car transporter during a routine check in a secure police compound in south London. -Continued after the jump

According to The Sunday Mail, one source was quoted saying, "We are not sure who was most surprised. They certainly did not appreciate that they had arrived in a police yard!" You can say that again… Unfortunately, Tony Blair will have to wait a while before he gets his bungle-proof 7-Series as UK police returned the car to BMW, saying its security had been compromised.

2009 BMW 7-Series Scooped By Carscoop Reader

Pro spy photographers; eat your heart out! Bastien, an eagle-eyed reader of Carscoop left his bathing suite to rest in piece during his summer vacations in Spain this September preferring to get some "scoop action" in the rugged region of Andalusia. And action he got as Bastien managed to capture (among other cars), the forthcoming BMW 7-Series.

Despite the fact the 7er was undergoing tests in heavy disguise, it is apparent that BMW’s new top sedan will dump the current model’s extravagant or as non-designers call it, gargoyle looks, for a more elegant and dare we say, sporty design. From what we learned, the all-new 7-series will be released sometime during the 2008 calendar year, arriving in the market as a 2009 model. -One more pic after the jump

We thank Bastien and Wesley for sharing the spy pictures!

Video: BMW 740i Burning Out Turns Upside Down!

Hi dad, um, you know I kinda lost balance and sort of trashed the bimmer while I was attempting to make a sideway burnout in front of my friends, but don’t worry, Dumbo and I are fine, quite embarrassed, but other than that, totally ok... -Click “Read More…” below to check out a second video of the accident shot from a different angle

Thanks for the tip Johan!
