In a surprise move toady, Hyundai released the first official sketches of the Concept Genesis Coupe which will be unveiled at the 2007 L.A. Show in mid-November. As the Korean carmaker points out in the Spartan press release, the Genesis Coupe concept hints at Hyundai’s long-rumoured rear-wheel drive sports coupe. Hyundai announced today that the forthcoming luxury sedan Genesis will be introduced in the Chinese market in 2008. Hyundai’s spokesman Jake Jang told Automotive News that the Korean company aims to sell about 3,000 units of the Genesis (codenamed BH) in Via: Automotive News
Scooped somewhere in Korea, this is the production version of the 2007 NY Show Genesis concept, Hyundai’s first luxury sedan which is expected to go on sale in the USA, Korea and elsewhere next year. From what we can make, maybe Hyundai fine tuned the design here and there, but basically, the Genesis’ styling doesn’t seem altered in comparison with the prototype we saw in New York. The production version is expected to be offered with both V6 and V8 engines when the rear wheel drive sedan goes on sale in early 2008 as a 2009 model. -Continued after the jump
